Roundup: Duda, Neustar, Hurrdat Pivot to Meet New SMB Demands

Many companies in the Localogy ecosystem have responded to the sudden change in SMB demand dynamics during lockdown. This was a key theme on a webinar I helped moderate today with fellow Localogy analyst Neal Polachek.

On the webinar, we shared some findings from a supplemental wave of Localogy’s Modern Commerce Monitor™ survey asking SMBs how they use SaaS to run their businesses.

We also talked about several companies that have stepped up in various ways. Some have built new products. Many companies have fast-tracked products already in the pipeline. Others have curated useful content for SMBs. Many others have provided relief to the SMB market through price reductions, free offers, and modified terms.

Here are some fresh examples from this week.

Hurrdat Moves Up Planned Q4 Launch of Local SEO Solution

Hurrdat, a digital marketing agency based in Omaha, has moved up the release of Local Search Fuel, originally planned for Q4 2020. The solution helps small businesses

The process begins with local businesses submitting business profile information. Hurrdat SEO specialists then take the information and create, update, and manage local listings.

Local Search Fuel was born from the custom local SEO work we are doing for over 3,000 business locations across the U.S. and has been in development for some time now,” said Bill Hipsher, President of Hurrdat. “We planned to launch the solution later in 2020. However, as COVID-19’s impact grew, we noticed our existing clients were struggling to keep business hours, services, and other important details accurate in their online local listings. We knew that a solution like what we were developing with Local Search Fuel could solve their problems.”

Duda, Neustar Offer Free Listings Manage to Covid-hit SMBs

Website builder Duda and business data provider Neustar have partnered to offer a free listings management solution for hard-hit SMBs.

The two companies have partnered to offer Neustar Localeze business listing management tool free for three months in the Duda App Store.

“Neustar Localeze listing management enables Duda’s digital agency and SaaS partners to extend significant value to their small business customers during these challenging times,” said Alan Keller, Chief Revenue Officer of Duda, in a statement. “By incorporating Neustar Localeze, our partners can ensure their customers’ latest operational information is displayed consistently and accurately across local search results. this is especially important during this time of constantly changing COVID-19 measures.”
